In this week’s episode we look at audio recording for use in podcasting. We discuss the theory behind storytelling and explore the traditional story arc. We also address some of the issues related to differentiated instruction and discuss how audio presentations can help give students their own storytelling voice.
We have included a how-to component in this episode that keeps the technology associated with audio recording within reach for all comfort levels. We specifically look at Audacity to create audio recordings for use in podcasting and for audio presentations. We also touch on the use of royalty free music, how to run applications from a USB memory stick, and how to add production value to your recording.
In upcoming episodes we will look at how to use the video cameras found in cell phones and mobile devices to create video podcasts and finally how to publish these audio and video recordings.
